Sometimes a difficult season can make it hard to know where to turn. Through our Home Visit Program, St. Vincent de Paul Appleton connects with neighbors face-to-face, offering compassion, friendship, and help when it’s needed most.

A Visit. A Conversation. A Helping Hand.

Our Home Visit Volunteers, known as Vincentians, are members of local Catholic parishes, called Conferences. Working in pairs, Vincentians meet with individuals and families in their homes to listen to their stories, understand their needs, and determine how St. Vincent de Paul can help.

Every situation is different. Depending on the circumstances, assistance may include help with basic needs, rent or utilities, food, transportation, furniture, clothing, or other resources.

But a Home Visit is about more than providing assistance. It’s about seeing the person behind the need, offering dignity and compassion, and reminding our neighbors that they are not alone.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that we are called to care for one another. Our Vincentians don't simply provide assistance—they build relationships, offer a listening ear, and walk alongside neighbors during challenging times.

Through these personal connections, we bring hope, compassion, and practical help directly into our community.
