Position: Donation Center Lead                                                     

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours per week: 40

Work Hours: Hours vary between 8am – 6pm, including rotating weekend

Starting Salary Range: $10.50/hr. with paid health care benefits and holidays

 

The Donation Center Lead is responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant work site, and implementing St. Vincent de Paul’s mission, under the direct supervision of the Logistics Manager.

Job Responsibilities

·         Be present at front donation drop-off area to unload donations from customer’s vehicles and to provide excellent customer service.

·         Ensure donated merchandise is being sorted into the correct gaylords.

·         Greet each donor in a kind and respectful way.

·         Maintain inventory levels by partnering with the backroom departments and baler room attendants daily.

·         Transfer gaylords appropriately and in a timely fashion between the D.C. and backrooms.

·         Properly stack and rotate gaylords to ensure the oldest product is being sorted first.

·         Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet racking, and work stations neat.

·         Take monthly inventory counts and report to the Logistics Manager.

·         Represent SVdP in a positive manner by providing exceptional customer service.

·         Maintain quality service by enforcing organization policies.

·         Complete all job duties in a safe manner.

·         Assume additional responsibilities as needed.

 

Job Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

·         Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)

·         Clean driving record

·         Retail/Forklift/Warehouse experience preferred

·         Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and donors

·         Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and early evenings

·         Regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs.
