Take the Truck Program

Get your co-workers or employees involved in a donation drive!

We are offering to coordinate a workday with you when we can park one of our delivery trucks in your lot making it very convenient for your employees to prepare ahead of time to bring in their gently used items to donate to St. Vincent de Paul of Appleton. These items can be anything from clothing to electronics to general household goods. At this current time, our greatest needs are household goods and knick-knacks.
St. Vincent de Paul of Appleton, Inc. works to combat poverty in the Appleton area. We do this in three ways:
By SELLING your donations, we generate funds that are directly distributed back into the Appleton community. 100% of all proceeds from St. Vincent de Paul of Appleton, Inc. STAY in the APPLETON AREA. Some of these funds are distributed to other area non-profits whose mission correlates with ours, and other funds are distributed via St. Vincent de Paul volunteers directly to families in need. That money is used to keep families in their homes, provide transportation for job - related activities -- and to keep their lights on.
By DISTRIBUTING goods directly from our thrift store, we provide clothing and household goods and furniture at no cost to families in need. We do this through a network of agencies that provide us with referrals.
By PARTNERING with the Fox Valley Warming Shelter, we work directly with the homeless by providing clothing and bedding. Currently, we are working with the FVWS to help them secure permanent housing, and a section on the St. Vincent de Paul of Appleton, Inc. land is one of the spots under consideration.
Through your donations, you are supporting your own neighbors. St. Vincent de Paul of Appleton, Inc. works entirely on donations. We WILL NOT buy closeout or any other type of merchandise. We depend solely on your donations. We work with over 200 volunteers and a very minimal paid staff. EVERY penny goes right back into the Appleton area.
